Episode # 181: Miracle Accident Survivor who Died Twice, Mark Lynch

 

On this episode of Divine Intervention Radio, we welcome Mark Lynch.  Mark shares his gripping testimony of being raised on the streets of Boston and not really thinking about God, to then having a supernatural encounter with God in his back yard in 1975 which changed his life "big time"  from that point on.  He was also in a major car accident in December 1979 where his neck was broken in 4 places;  at minimum he should have been paralyzed, but miraculously, he was not.  He lived for 25 years in constant pain or numbness, unable to feel different parts of his body, or sleep normally.  Then after 25 years when he couldn't take it anymore, he went to a specialist and had what was supposed to be a corrective surgery, which led him to die twice, and experience Jesus, paradise and the afterlife before being sent back to share his story and God's love with the world.  He chronicles his amazing story in his book, "Walk with Me."

Episode # 175: Illusionist healed of Leukemia, Jim Munroe!

On this episode of Divine Intervention, we welcome Illusionist, Jim Munroe.  Jim Munroe is an author, speaker, and skeptic.  After a promising career in baseball ended in disappointment and confusion with a blown shoulder at the University of Texas, Munroe turned his mind towards investigating various philosophies and beliefs.  Despite significant doubt at the time in the idea of a god, Munroe absorbed and tested Christianity as he searched for meaning.  This investigation into the unknown and the supernatural also manifested itself in another pursuit: Magic.

Munroe loved magic. It blended perfectly with his belief that God was just a bunch of smoke and mirrors.  That behind every religious curtain was a lie.  However, the further he investigated Jesus, the more convinced he became that Truth existed in Him.  And just as his magic career was taking off, Munroe found himself accepting Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.

Episode # 173 Iran Alive Ministries Founder, Dr. Hormoz Shariat

Hi friends,

On this episode of Divine Intervention, we welcome Dr. Hormoz Shariat.  Born and raised as a Muslim in Iran, Dr. Shariat was one of the people demostrating on the streets of Tehran, shouting "Death to America" during the 1979 Iranian revolution that ousted the Shah and ushered in an Islamic theocracy. 

Within weeks of the revolution and the coming to power of the Mullahs, however, he and many other Iranians realized they had made a mistake.  Hormoz came to the U.S. to study computer technology and artificial intelligence.  It was while in the U.S. that through his personal study of comparing the Qur’an and Bible, Hormoz accepted Christ in 1980.  He left his lucrative career and dedicated his life to spreading the gospel to millions of Muslims who are burdened around the world.

In 1987, Pastor Hormoz co-founded the Iranian Christian Church (ICC) in Sunnyvale, California, which has since grown into multiple churches worldwide.

 The majority of ICC is made up of former Muslims, and is the largest congregation of Muslim converts outside of Iran. Today, Dr. Hormoz Shariat has been identified in Joel Rosenberg’s bestseller, Inside the Revolution, as the “Billy Graham” of Iran. Mr. Rosenberg continued, “He is without question the most recognized and most influential Iranian American”.

Episode # 172: Former Drug Trafficker and Columbia Drug Cartel Member Redeemed by Jesus, Pastor Lenny Hernandez

On this episode of Divine Intervention we welcome pastor and evangelist Lenny Hernandez.   Lenny grew up in the concrete jungle of the New York City housing projects.  He got involved in crime and drugs at a young age, and also miraculously survived near-fatal car accident and a combat tour to Iraq during Desert Storm in 1991.  He eventually got involved with the Columbia drug cartel, and was indebted to them for over 7 million dollars.  God performed a series of divine interventions to set Lenny free and redeem him.  Now, Lenny is a youth minister, pastor and evangelist at Gateway Christian Fellowship.  He and his wife, Brittney are doing some mighty works for the Kingdom of God in the New Haven, Connecticut area.

Episode # 171: Man Miraculously Healed of Broken Neck, Paralysis, Pastor Jack Chamis

Hi friends,

 

On this episode of Divine Intervention we welcome Pastor Jack Chamis, and his parents Chris and Florence.  Jack pastors The Oasis of Life Christian Church in Rocky Hill, Connecticut.  When Jack was 16, he was in a serious automobile accident in which he broke his neck and was paralyzed from the neck down.  Doctors said he would never walk again, and would remain a paraplegic for the rest of his life.  But God intervened, speaking to him and his parents that he would walk again, and eventually, he was miraculously healed.  To the doctors' shock and amazement, Jack walked out of the hospital about six weeks after the accident!

On this episode of Divine Intervention we are joined by SAT 7 network founder & CEO and Middle East Region expert, Dr. Terence Ascott. 

Sat 7 is a Christian satellite television network strategically broadcasting the hope of Jesus Christ to millions throughout the Middle East and North Africa. 

Dr. Terence Ascott has lived in the Middle East and served as the leader for local media ministries for more than 30 years.  After the start of the Lebanese Civil War, Dr. Ascott and his family evacuated from Lebanon, moving to Egypt.  In Egypt, he launched an Arabic youth magazine called Magalla.  This was the first Christian magazine to be successfully distributed through public newsstands in Egypt and across the region, and was published for 25 years.

In 1995 he, along with other Middle Eastern Christian leaders and some 20 partner organizations, launched SAT-7, the first Middle East-based Christian satellite television channel.  SAT-7 beams an uncensorable Christian message to millions who likely cannot access the Gospel in any other way.  Today, SAT-7 broadcasts 5 channels in Arabic, Farsi, and Turkish to a potential viewing audience of over 300 million people.  One in three Iraqi children and one in four Saudi Arabian children currently watch SAT-7 KIDS.

Awesome healing miracle at Grace Lutheran Church, Mastic Beach, New York, 4-6-13

Hi all,

 

On April 6th, 2013, my wife, Sahani, and I had the awesome experience of being the key note speakers at Women's Life Day, an annual women's conference held at our home church, Grace Lutheran Church in Mastic Beach, New York.  While we were there, we got to take part in and witness an amazing healing miracle that the Lord did for our new friend, Joe, a young man who attends the church.  Joe had a torn tendon in his knee that did not heal, and he was limping around for about a year.

On this very special episode of Divine Intervention, we report live from the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) Convention in Nashville, Tennessee.  This convention brings together Christian communicators from all over the world for workshops, fellowship, networking opportunities, professional music, ministry and more.

Preston Parrish, Vice President of My Hope America with Billy Graham, tells us about this innovative evangelistic program  based on the story in the Bible of Mathew the tax collector, who, after he meets Jesus, throws a party in his home and invites his friends over so they can meet Jesus, too.  Preston shares about the great fruit that is being produces through this outreach, and about some divine interventions that he has experienced in his own life. 

Brian Wells with Walden Family Entertainment discusses his new family and faith-friendly film project, "Return to Nim's Island,"  and why he, as a father and a man of faith, chose to get involved with this project.  

 

             Bill Muir

 

Bill Muir heads up Methinks Entertainment, and he joins us to share about his new film, The Lost Medallion, a high action adventure story, sort of like "Indiana Jones" meets "The Goonies" for kids.  Bill also shares about his own journey of ministering to orphaned and abandoned kids, and how that influenced his decision to make this film, whose messages is that our lives are designed by God and that we have meaning because of that.

Jason Jones is the President of "Movie to Movement" and one of the producers of the short film, "Crescendo" which is a powerful story with a strong pro-life message that affirms the worth and dignity of every life.  He shares about this inspiring film, and some of the divine interventions that occurred in making it possible.

Episode # 163 Man Crushed by Semi-Truck, Miraculously Saved By Angels, Bruce Van Natta

Hi friends,

On this episode of Divine Intervention, we welcome back to the show Bruce Van Natta of Sweet Bread Ministries.  Bruce recaps his amazing testimony of being crushed under a semi-truck, leaving his body, and watching from above as rescue crews feverishly worked on him.  He also witnessed two huge angels laying their hands on him, which he believes kept him from bleeding out due to having major arteries severed in five places. 

After multiple surgeries, about a year in the hospital and many miracles along the way, Bruce is fully recovered, much to the surprise of the medical community.  They said he should have bled to death within 10 minutes of the accident...even though it was over 2 hours before they were able to operate on him.  

Bruce also talks to us about his new book, "A Miraculous Life:  True Stories of Supernatural Encounters with God,"  in which he recounts some of the amazing miracles and divine interventions he has witnessed and experienced since going into full-time ministry several years ago.  He also talks to us about the 5 giants everyone faces in life, and the 5 weapons of spiritual warfare given to every believer from the Lord to fight and overcome those giants.

Episode # 161 - Miraculous Survivor of 9 Gunshots, Chester Gayles

On this episode of Divine Intervention, we welcome Chester Gayles, who miraculously survived being shot 9 times.   A native of Long Island, New York, Chester spent the first 10 years of his life on the Poospatuck Indian Reservation in Mastic,  New York.  He started wrestling in 6^th grade, becoming a high school phenomenon, and went undefeated until 12^th grade.

 At 18 he got into trouble with his brother, and was charged with armed robbery in the 1^st degree.  He was sentenced to 5-15 years in prison.  As a result, Chester got involved in the criminal lifestyle, and spent the next 15 years in and out of prison. 

At the age of 43, Chester was in a flop house/drug den when, in what is believed to be a gang initiation rite, he was shot 9 times and left for dead.  As he was lying face down, bleeding out, he began to speak to God and prepare for the end.  God spoke back and miraculously, Chester survived.

As a result of this traumatic experience and miraculous survival, Chester experienced a spiritual renewal.  It was obvious that God had a purpose for him, and required him to find it.  Chester started going back to church, committed his life to Jesus, and began searching for God’s will and purpose for his life.   

He also attended Phoenix House, an in-patient drug rehab program on Long Island, New York, for 15 months.  After completing the program and getting sober, he worked as a counselor for a year at Phoenix house, counseling others with addictions and helping them to recover.

Today, Chester is sober, a born-again Christian, and the co-host of the new TV talk show "The Felon & The Fed" with Retired IRS Special Agent Michael Vilardi on Cablevision on Long Island, New York.  Gayles and Vilardi discuss hot topic issues of the day ranging from gun control to immigration, to faith and politics.

Episode # 160 - Minister & Radio Host, David Alan Carmichael

On this episode of Divine Intervention, we are joined by minister and talk show host, David Alan Carmichael.  Under the banner of Freedom Ministries, David broadcasts his Faith & Freedom radio show in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area.  He discusses the issues of the day from a constitutional, biblical and moral basis.  He believes our freedom will come in proportion to our faith.  In the mid-1990s, David was called by God to dissasociate himself from having or using a social security number, as it was revealed to him to be associated with the number of the beast found in the Book of Revelation, and being used to set up the one world government of the anti-Christ.  As a result of his courageous stand, David was forced out of the U.S. Navy, and into a seven year, David vs. Goliath court case against the U.S. Government.  Against all odds, and with many miracles and Divine Interventions along the way, David was victorious in court, and was able to pave the way for others to stand their ground on this controversial and significant issue, and refuse to be numbered by the government.

On this episode of Divine Intervention we are joined by Consolee Nishimwe,  a survivor of the 1994 Rwandan genocide.  Consolee shares her amazing testimony of how she suffered physical torture during her three months in hiding, and miraculously survived with her mother and younger sister.  Her story, although heartbreaking and tragic, also resounds with the love and forgiveness of God in light of unspeakable horrror.  Today, Consolee lives in New York and is a committed speaker on the genocide, a defender of global women’s rights, and an advocate for other genocide survivors.  Her gripping story is recounted in her book, "Tested to the Limit:  A Genocide Survivor’s Story of Pain, Resilience and Hope."

Episode # 155: Former Islamic Jihadist Turned Pastor, Mujahid El Masih

Hi Friends,

On this episode of DIvine Intervention we welcome Pastor Mujahid El Masih.  Pastor El Masih grew up in Pakistan surrounded by religious confusion.  Eventually, after having been forced to read and memorize the Koran in school, he became a passionate follower of Islam and was sold out for Islamic Jihad.  He joined the Pakistani military where he was taught to hate India, Israel, Christians, Jews and the West.  His goal was to die as a martyr for Allah while killing infidels, thereby securing for himself a place in Islamic Paradise.  That is, until he experienced a powerful divine intervention and the Lord spoke to him, warning him that he was on the path to destruction. 

He heeded the warning and left the Pakistani military and searched for the voice that spoke to him, eventually finding the answer when a pastor shared the good news of Jesus Christ with him.  Mujahid gave his life to Jesus and was radically changed from a man full of hatred and restlessness to one of love, joy and peace.  He went on to become a pastor and evangelist, and has since helped start many churches, schools and clinics in Pakistan.  He also faced much persecution, attacks and death threats from Muslims who were angry at his conversion and the work he was doing, yet God miraculously delivered him on many occasions. 

Pastor Masih now travels throughout the U.S. teaching the truth of Islam, sharing his testimony and representing Voice of the Martyrs, an organization that serves and supports the persecuted church around the world. He preaches and speaks in churches, schools, and to organizations every week, while also overseeing the ministry of Faith Covenant International in Pakistan.

Episode # 153: Misison Representative for Voice of the Martyrs, Darcie Gill

On this episode of Divine Intervention we are joined by Darcie Gill.  Darice is a Mission Representative with Voice of the Martyrs, a ministry that focuses on helping persecuted Christians around the world.   She grew up in California, gave her life to Jesus in 1972, and went on to become a graduate of North Florida Theological Seminary where she earned a Masters degree in Christian Education.  She and her husband, Tim,  served as missionaries with Navajo Gospel Mission in Arizona for four years.  After their time with the Navajos, they started their own ministry in Florida, which eventually led to their involvement with the Voice of the Martyrs.    

While Tim is no longer with VOM and has begun a new work, Darcie continued on staff being a voice for these suffering Christians in hundreds of churches and gatherings across America. Darcie has had the opportunity to minister to persecuted Christians when she traveled to Cuba, Colombia, Sudan, Vietnam, China, Pakistan, Korea, Laos, Myanmar, Indonesia, Kashmir, India, Iraq, Turkey, Lebanon, Syria,and Jordan. Episode # 150: Author and U.N. Ambassador, Allison WIley

On this episode of Divine Intervention, we welcome author, Pharmacist and U.N. ambassador, Allison Wiley. 

Allison joins us to share her incredible story of how the Lord sustained her and brought her through major tragedy and loss, similar to the Biblical character of Job.  Allison's husband was convicted of a crime and sent to prison for ten years, leaving her a single mother of four.  Shortly thereafter, her best friend and her mother were both taken from cancer, and her six year old son was stricken with leukemia. She also lost her home and all her finances, and were nearly destroyed as a family.  Throughout this loss and devastation, the Lord preserved them and eventually lifted Allison out of the pit of dispair and restored her.  She experienced a Divine Intervention when she met a prophet who told her to look for miracles on specific days in the months ahead, and they all came to pass as the prophet had said.  God totally restored Allison, and even led her to become appointed as an ambassador to the United Nations, working to end sickness and disease in the world!

Episode # 149: Muslim Shahid's (Martyr's) Daughter, Nonie Darwish

Hi friends!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to grow up in a society stuck between Islamic fundamentalism on one side, and a totalitarian police state on the other?  On this episode of Divine Intervention, we find out as we welcome Nonie Darwish, the daughter of a Muslim shahid (martyr).

Born in Egypt, Darwish is the daughter of an Egyptian Army Lieutenant General, who, when assassinated by the Israeli army in 1956, was called a “shahid” by the Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser, although Darwish blames “the Middle Eastern Islamic culture and the propaganda of hatred taught to children from birth” for the assassination.  In 1978, she moved with her husband to the United States, and converted to Christianity there. After September 11, 2001 she has written on Islam-related topics.

Darwish is now an American human rights activist, writer, public speaker and founder of Arabs For Israel.  She is the author of the book Now they Call Me Infidel: Why I Renounced Jihad for America, Israel and the War on Terror.  Her second book is Cruel And Usual Punishment: The Terrifying Global Implications of Islamic Law.  Her third book is called "The Devil We Don't Know." Her speech topics cover human rights, with an emphasis on women’s’ rights and minority rights in the Middle East.

On this episode of Divine Intervention we welcome Author, Speaker, and Bible Prophecy expert, John McTernan, founder of Defend and Proclaim the Faith ministries, who will share some of his startling research with us and answer that question.

During numerous appearances on television, radio and in seminars, John has publicly defended Israel in light of Biblical prophecy.  His current best selling book is As America Has Done To Israel. 

Since 1975, he has been involved with the Pro-Life movement and is currently a Pro-Life leader in central Pennsylvania.  And, in the early 1980's, he co-founded International Cops for Christ where he serves as an ordained chaplain and evangelist.  John holds a B.S. from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, and an honorary PhD in Biblical Studies from Calvary Christian College. He served 26 years as a Federal Treasury agent before retiring in 1998.

I am continually amazed at how The Lord continues to open doors for me to share my testimony of miraculous healings both from chronic back pain and lymphatic cancer.  Recently, CBN (The Christian Broadcasting Network) sent a film crew to my home to record my story for a feature on the 700 Club, their signature/flagship show. This is a magazine-style show that includes news, commentary, special features and testimonies of faith and miracles, all from a biblical perspective.  It is one of the most watched programs in the world, reaching multiple millions of households on several continents.  The segment aired on Wednesday, 7/25/12.

Episode # 146: Founder of Liveprayer.com, Evangelist and Pastor, Bill Keller

On this episode of Divine Intervention we welcome Pastor Bill Keller.

Bill Keller is the president of Bill Keller Ministries which owns Liveprayer.Com. Bill was raised in the United Methodist Church and asked Jesus Christ into his heart at age 12, feeling a call of God into the ministry at a young age. Bill's life became sidetracked while attending Ohio State when he started a small business that became very successful. Going into the ministry soon was not in the plan as Bill spent the next 11 years running from God. 

God got Bill's attention in 1989 when he became involved in insider trading of the stock market, was convicted, lost everything, and spent the next 2 1/2 years in Federal Prison. Shortly after going into prison, Bill rededicated his life to the Lord, received an undergraduate degree in biblical studies from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, and was discipled by two precious charismatic couples. Upon his release in August of 1992, Bill went into full time ministry, holding evangelistic meetings in churches all over the country. In August of 1999, the ministry's internet site Liveprayer.Com was launched. In March of 2003, the LivePrayer Television Program on secular stations was launched.

Bill joins us on Divine Intervention to share his personal testimony of how God called him out of prison into ministry, and used him to head up one of the largest online ministries in the world, with over 2.4 million people reading his daily devotionals, and hundreds of thousands of people committing their lives to Jesus as a result of his ministry.

Episode # 144: Woman Miraculously Healed of Paralysis and RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy), Ema McKinley

Hi friends,

 

On this episode of Divine Intervention, we are joined by Ema McKinley.  Ema grew up in a Christian home in Iowa, then moved to Minnesota.  She had a heart to work with disabled people, and did so for many years until a tragic workplace accident in 1993 left her partially paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair.  Ema suffered severe pain from a neurological disorder called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) which left her neck and spine twisted.  She suffered from this condition for over 18 years, all the while many doctors at the Mayo Clinic trying all types of treatments for her, but to no avail.  All throughout her suffering, Ema remained faithful, praising God through her pain and never losing hope or faith.  Finally, on Christmas Eve 2011, she experienced an amazing Christmas gift in the form of a divine intervention and a miraculous healing by Jesus.   Today, after 18 years, much to the surprise and delight of her doctors, family and friends, Ema's spine is straight, and she is out of the wheelchair, walking on her own!

Miller.  Jeff grew up in a culturally Jewish home, and when he was a young man during a Hebrew prayer service, he decided that there really was no God.  He spent over 20 years as a die-hard atheist, utterly convinced that there was no God, and trying to convince others to his way of thinking in the process.  He was working as a radio and television executive, loving life and not needing God, when at the age of 36 he experienced a divine intervention that shook him to the core and changed his life forever.  He accepted Yahshua, Jesus, the Jewish Messiah, and was thrust into full-time ministry shortly thereafter.  Jeff has been a  full-time traveling evangelist for over 20 years, and he shares not only his own amazing conversion story, but also some of the other miracles and divine interventions he has witnessed during his many years serving the Lord.

Episode # 141: From Abortion Clinic Salvation to International Missionary and Author, Marta Greenman

On this episode of Divine Intervention we welcome author, theologian and missionary to Romania, Marta Greenman. 

After being sexually abused at a very young age, Marta led a destructive lifestyle as a young adult, leading her to find herself in an abortion clinic not once, but twice.  After going through the horror of abortion a second time, alone in a dark clinic room, Marta called out to God asking Him to cleanse and forgive her - and He did. Marta shares how God took her broken life and restored it. 

In 1998 Marta left her career in corporate America to become a staff missionary with an international church planting organization. There she had the privilege of traveling on 23 different evangelism campaigns around the world.  In 2001 she co-founded RUTH Ministries International with her husband, Marshall.  In 2011 Marta founded Words of Grace and Truth, which is solely devoted to reaching women in America and around the world through bible study and teaching events.   She also does missionary work in Romania. 

Marta shares some of the many divine interventions she experienced along the way in her walk with Jesus.

Episode # 140: Musicians Jason Bare and Annie from the Annie Moses Band

On this episode of Divine Intervention, we are focusing on the music industry, and what God is doing though two amazing Christian musicians, Jason Bare, and Annie from the Annie Moses Band.

 

Christian Artist Jason Bare is no stranger to ministry in music. After spending a lifetime growing up as a preacher's kid, attending Lee University, traveling with the Lee Singers, honing his songwriting skills, and dedicating 16 years to leading congregations in praise and worship, Jason now takes a bold new step into the realm of the music industry.

In December of 2010, Jason released a Christmas song, co-written with Nathan Walters (formerly of Plus One) titled, “For The First Time.” The song was an instant success climbing to the No. 1 spot on CMW's Worship charts, No. 2 on CMW's Inspirational charts, No. 8 on the Christmas charts, and remained as one of the most added songs for 5 weeks!

This led to his first national release, “Beautiful Design,” 5 national radio releases, numerous features in CCM Magazine, New Release Tuesday, The Examiner, The Christian Post, and many more.

Jason released his first Music Video, “You Found Me” (produced by Yake Films) in April 2011. By the fall of the same year, he released his first Christmas CD, “Have You Heard,” and as in the previous year, found great radio success with the title track. The song climbed to No. 2 on the CMW's Inspirational charts, No. 5 on the Christmas charts and remained in the Inspirational Billboard TOP 20 charts for 4 weeks! Now, on the road FULL-TIME, Jason is whole-heartedly pursuing all that God has planned for him! (Jeremiah 29:11)

 2012 is sure to be a great year, beginning with the exciting release of two BRAND-NEW radio singles, “Hope Again,” co-written with Loren & Felicia Barton (American Idol, Season 8), and “You Never Change,” co-written with Nathan Walters and Gabe Combs (formerly of Plus One). Episode # 138 - Jeff Markin, Dead of a Heart Attack but raised to Life after the Prayer of his Cardiologist, Dr. Chauncey Crandall

Hello all,

On this episode of Divine Intervention, we welcome two men whose lives intersected because of a tragedy and a miracle - Jeff Markin and Dr. Chauncey Crandall.  They tell their amazing testimony of how Jeff Markin collapsed and died of a massive heart attack at the Palm Beach Hospital in Florida in the Fall of 2006.   The doctors and ER team did all they could do, shocking Jeff more than five times, but after 40 minutes with no heartbeat, Dr. Chauncey Crandall declared Jeff dead.  After finishing up his report, however, and walking out of the room, Dr. Crandall heard God tell him to go back and pray for Jeff.  He did, then directed his staff to shock him one last time - and Jeff Markin came back to life with a perfectly regular heartbeat - and remains alive and well today!  Jeff and Dr. Crandall recount this incredible turn of events in their own words, including what Jeff experienced while he was dead, and how this situation changed both men's lives forever.

     Kellie Ann Peterson

Kellie Ann Peterson BS, MFT, is a radio host and author with over 20 years experience working with at-risk-youths, families in crisis, and domestic violence and abuse victims.  She teaches parenting classes in correctional facilities & co-facilitated support groups for both adults and children.  She has experience as a pre-school teacher, home-schooling parent and a professional nanny. She is currently a Family Trainer, Parent and Meta-cognition Coach.
