In this episode of Divine Intervention, we are joined by missionaries and ministers Dennis and Jill Eenigenburg. Dennis and Jill are from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where Dennis is the Pastor of the Chapel on the Campus of Louisiana State University, and Jill teaches English as a second language and piano. In the early 1980s, God led them to be missionaries in Rome, Italy, where they lived with their three sons from 1980 to 1982. While serving in Italy, Jill was involved in a horrific, head-on car collision that left her critically injured, clinging to life by a thread. She was comatose and paralyzed, with many serious injuries, including a crushed rib cage and sternum, head trauma, a broken collar bone, collapsed lung and splintered leg. The doctors gave her little chance of survival. As many in their community prayed for them, however, God was faithful, and through a series of miracles and divine interventions, met them and provided for their every need along the way, and eventually allowed her to make a full recovery! God taught them much about His sovereignty, mercy and faithfulness through this trying ordeal. Dennis and Jill have been volunteer staff and seminar speakers with Family Life since 1988, where they lead marriage seminars, and have shared their inspirational miracle testimony all over the world with thousands of people. They have detailed their journey in a book entitled, 'Where's Mom? Missing Mom Finds Victory in Surrender."
