Divine Intervention: September 2009

On this episode of Divine Intervention we will be talking about what God is doing on Wall Street and in the business community, as our special guest is Pastor Dan Stratton of the Faith Exchange Fellowship. Daniel J. Stratton has been a member of the Wall Street community since 1981, first as a Yale-educated businessman with exceptional acumen, and today as a pastor with a vision for the spiritual future of New York City.

During his career as one of New York’s top traders, Dan worked on the New York Commodity Exchange and secured seats on the Coffee, Sugar and Cocoa Exchange and the New York Mercantile Exchange. He was also a bold witness for Christ in a place where faith was not openly discussed. He led Bible studies, wrote and distributed a weekly faith newsletter to his fellow traders, and led monthly “Spirit of Revival” meetings.

Then, in the mid 1990s, Dan and his wife, Ann, heard God’s call and obeyed—Dan left his lucrative career on the Exchanges, and they founded a ministry, which includes the Faith Exchange Fellowship – the church on Wall street, and the Provision Network, an association that provides mentoring and networking opportunities for Christian businesspeople.

After the faith exchange church building was destroyed in the attacks of 9-11-01, Dan and Ann Stratton have followed God’s guidance and have led the church to new headquarters on Wall Street, making Faith Exchange Fellowship a lighthouse of hope to a community struggling in the aftermath of the attacks. Their boldly-stated mission is to vanquish the root of all evil (the love of money), to stand triumphant against all fear, to declare victory over grief as the city heals, to proclaim the only peace that lasts, and to declare and demonstrate to New York City that love never fails. The church community and its ministries are growing rapidly, and Dan continues to believe that nothing is impossible in Christ.

Dan has appeared on FOX Business Channel, TBN, CBN with Pat Robertson, with James Robison and with Mike Simons on Promiseland Television. Dan has two books – “We win, let’s play” and “Divine ProVision”.
