On this episode of Divine Intervention we welcome Dr. Maurice Sklar. Dr. Maurice Sklar is internationally recognized as one of today’s most virtuosic, anointed and engaging musical artists. He is sought after throughout the world for concert and recital appearances, as well as for churches and synagogues for his ministry. Dr. Sklar has appeared in concert with numerous orchestras and ensembles, as well as at music festivals and he ministers at congregations worldwide.
Among his more than a dozen CDs are a number of best-sellers, including Songs of Zion and El Shaddai with Integrity Music. His recordings range in style from Classical to Worship Music.
Dr. Sklar was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1963. He began his violin studies at the age of 4, and at the age of 15, he was accepted into the Juilliard School of Music in New York City. Maurice subsequently won a scholarship to attend the Curtis Institute of Music at the age of 16. In 1986, Dr. Sklar won the Young Concert Arts International Auditions and, in 1990, he was chosen by Musical America as one of the Top Ten “Young Artists of the Year.”
In August of 2010, Dr. Sklar had an extraordinary, life-changing experience when he was supernaturally transported by the Lord into the spirit realm and experienced the reality of Heaven.
Dr. Sklar continues to perform and minister worldwide. He lives with his wife, Devorah, in Southern California.
