The doctors and ER team did all they could do, shocking Jeff more than five times, but after 40 minutes with no heartbeat, Dr. Chauncey Crandall declared Jeff dead. After finishing up his report, however, and walking out of the room, Dr. Crandall heard God tell him to go back and pray for Jeff. He did, then directed his staff to shock him one last time - and Jeff Markin came back to life with a perfectly regular heartbeat - and remains alive and well today!
